Do You Use Your Garden to Switch Off?

Genuine question — do you use your garden to switch off?

We've been looking into the research on gardens and wellbeing for an article on our Hub, and the science is clear: spending time in green space has measurable effects on stress, mood, and mental clarity.

But we're more interested in the personal side. What actually works for you?

Some of our clients tell us it's a specific spot — a bench they sit on every morning. Others say it's the pottering, the hands-in-soil, the doing-something-without-thinking. Some just stand at the back door with a tea and look at what's growing.

After 50 years of designing gardens in Surrey, we know that the best gardens aren't just beautiful. They give you something you didn't know you needed — a place to breathe, to think, to stop for a moment.

So we'd love to hear from you:

Do you use your garden to unwind? What's your thing? Is there a spot or a routine that works for you?

Drop a comment — no wrong answers. We're genuinely curious.
